# Swedish election posters — source map

Research started 2026-08-28.

The election to the Riksdag, regional councils and municipal councils is on **13 September 2026**. Advance voting runs from 26 August through 13 September. Source: [Valmyndigheten](https://www.val.se/kommande-val/val-2026---riksdag-region-och-kommun).

## Finding

No single public, current repository of every party's 2026 posters was found in the first pass. Current national material is fragmented across party campaign pages, press rooms, member resource banks and shops. Historical poster collections exist, but they are not a live 2026 campaign bank.

This collection starts with the eight parties represented in the Riksdag. "Not found" means no official national poster page or downloadable set was found on 2026-08-28; it does not mean the posters do not exist.

## Captured files

- `posters/socialdemokraterna/`: the 5 official designs, now in both web resolution (500 × 714) and 1920 × 2744 — the SiteVision CDN serves an on-demand width ladder via `/x1920p/` URL segments (1920 is the ceiling; 2560 falls back to base). Campaign: "Dags att ta Sverige på allvar", subline "Den 13 september har du ett val". Plus the official launch key visual showing all five designs flat (1930 × 1544).
- `posters/vansterpartiet/`: 4 official full-size PNG files (1404 × 2000).
- `posters/liberalerna/`: 9 official full-size files (served as WebP, roughly 1800–1900 × 2560–2646); two designs additionally saved as lossless PNG originals from the WordPress uploads directory. The page's "download the posters as files" link only leads to `/pressbilder` (politician portraits, no posters).
- `posters/centerpartiet-sundbyberg/`: 5 official local full-size JPEG files (2500 × 3571). These are a deliberately place-specific municipal series, not Centerpartiet's national set.
- `posters/moderaterna-web-cards/`: 29 official campaign graphics from moderaterna.se/app/uploads, pulled through the party's public WordPress media API. Four families: the "vallöfte" series (light-blue, matching the street posters — e.g. "En vård att lita på, inte vänta på" with Kristersson), five dark-navy vallöfte variants, nine "VI FÅR SAKER GJORDA" slutspurt key visuals (Aug 2026 batch), and the campaign launch hero "Ansträngning ska löna sig". CAVEAT: these are 16:9 web cards, not poster files — a full sweep of the main-site public library found zero portrait-format uploads (only a personal photo, a stats infographic and a shop discount graphic). Folder renamed from `moderaterna/` on 2026-08-28 to make the distinction explicit.
- `posters/moderaterna/`: the NATIONAL PORTRAIT POSTER SET (1350 × 1920, 50×70 proportion) — exposed only by the Jönköping district subsite's media library (all 21 district subsites were harvested; only Jönköping carried them). Six designs: minister portraits of Kristersson, Strömmer and Svantesson plus three typographic posters. Plus municipal captures: Örebro kommun proof sheet (two-up composite, 1890 × 2646, "VI FÅR SAKER GJORDA I ÖREBRO") and Eskilstuna's 100 × 70 cm print-master PDF ("MERA ESKILSTUNA FÖR DINA PENGAR" — only file _5 of the series is public).
- `posters/centerpartiet-national/`: the national set as PRINT MASTERS — A3/A4 vector PDFs of the main campaign poster "SVERIGE KAN MER. / Jobben ska bli fler." (leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist) and the cream info poster ("VI KAN MER!", 326 förslag, QR code), plus two "RÖSTA HÄR" polling-station posters (1240 × 1754 JPG) and PNG renders of the PDFs. Exposed by val2026.centerpartiet.se's open WordPress media API (July 2026 uploads). One flagged web graphic ("RÖSTA IDAG", 2560 × 1430) and one low-res landscape branch banner kept for documentation.
- `posters/centerpartiet-norrbotten-region/`: single-issue green poster "BYGG UT INLANDSBANAN" (1410 × 2000 PNG) from centerpartiet.se's CMS, tied to the region's Inlandsbanan tour.
- `reference-photos/centerpartiet-stockholm-stad/`: 4 official photos (5184 × 3456 etc.) from the Stockholm branch's public Mynewsdesk newsroom documenting their local series incl. "BYGG FLER BOSTÄDER" — press photos, not artwork, moved here 2026-08-28 to keep `posters/` for artwork only. The branch also polisanmält vandalisering of posters at Sockenplan (2026-08-19).
- `reference-photos/moderaterna/`: 5 photos — the Stockholm "NYSTARTA STOCKHOLM" programme launch with campaign boards (Mynewsdesk), Sundbyberg's own blue street-poster wall "Rena Bällstaån" (public FB/IG CDN), and Mitt i's in-situ / torn-down-posters shots (low-res). The national street-poster originals themselves remain behind the Blå Rummet member portal; the campaign photographer's public portfolio (axeladolfsson.com) holds retouched source photography.
- `posters/miljopartiet/`: 6 official poster artworks + 2 key visuals. Campaign: "Sverige vinner på grön politik". The three typographic posters and three portraits (Helldén, Lind, Bah Kuhnke) come from the party shop's Shopify CDN (~620 × 890, the only public digital versions — higher-res sits behind the member intranet); the fourth typographic poster "Dags att ta Sveriges klimat på allvar" (2160 × 2700) and the uncropped master key visual were found by probing mp.se's wp-content uploads. Includes a print-resolution campaign folder flat (3507 × 2480).
- `posters/sverigedemokraterna/`: 2 flat campaign graphics from public blog mirrors (petterssonsblogg.se June 2026 uploads): the "Sverige på väg" poster design (546 × 762, low-res — largest public copy) and the "Trygg, fri och svensk" key visual (950 × 591, landscape). Campaign facts confirmed: slogan "Vi gör Sverige till Sverige igen", mascot SD-humlan, launch 22 June 2026, Fjällräven typeface dispute.
- `posters/sverigedemokraterna-photo-crops/`: 4 reference crops derived from an 8256 × 5504 press photograph of the official campaign launch. They document the four designs, but they are not clean original poster files.
- `posters/medborgerlig-samling/`: 12-poster district suite from Medborgerlig Samling Danderyd (813–1138 × 1161–1622, webp), served by med.se's SPA asset API. Hyper-local NIMBY-flavoured slogans ("Inga höghus vid Djursholms Torg", "Rädda Ösbysjön") with the legal financing line — a useful specimen of municipal-level campaign discourse.
- `posters/sjukvardspartiet-norrbotten/`: 2 landscape campaign key visuals (1640 × 924) — flagged as visuals, not print posters; their actual street posters appear only on Instagram.
- `posters/enad-rost/`: 1 square campaign visual (1080 × 1080) for the fi + Solidaritet write-in coalition ("Ta gatans motstånd till riksdagen!") — flagged as visual, not poster. ~60 more campaign graphics listable via their public WP media API.

Kristdemokraterna has no `posters/` folder: the party published zero artwork files publicly (site stub, pressroom holds only portraits, member platform login-walled). The full "TRO PÅ SVERIGES [word]" series is documented under `reference-photos/kristdemokraterna/` — press/street photos incl. a five-motif overview and the official KD-dagarna launch stage shot (4096 × 2136).

## Reference photographs

- `reference-photos/sverigedemokraterna/campaign-launch-resume.jpeg`: Christine Olsson's full-resolution launch photograph, published by Resumé/TT on 22 June. It shows four national posters: the yellow slogan design, a fuel-pump portrait, a dense policy comparison, and a Jimmie Åkesson portrait.
- `reference-photos/sverigedemokraterna/` (additions): Åkesson "Sverige på väg" billboard (TT via Expressen, 2560 × 1708); two Spain-campaign ad panels — "Borta bra men hemma bäst (Så länge S inte tar makten)" and "Utländsk gängkriminell? Efter valet skickas du hem" (Aftonbladet CDN, 1900 px); Stockholm Central takeover "Vi gör Sverige till Sverige igen" (SvD og:image, 1200 × 675 — max public variant). Press photos, not originals.
- `reference-photos/all-parties/resume-2026-poster-collage.jpeg`: Resumé's 17 August press collage. It visually confirms examples from all eight parliamentary parties, including the still-missing national designs from Moderaterna, Kristdemokraterna and Miljöpartiet. It is a research map, not a source for claiming clean originals.
- `reference-photos/wikimedia/`: 4 freely-licensed photos. The strongest is `ebba-busch-kd-tal-poster-almedalen-2026.jpg` (6000 × 4000, CC BY-SA 4.0, Bene Riobó) — a KD campaign poster as sandwich board in Visby ("MISSA INTE EBBA BUSCH TAL"). Two Almedalen protest banners ("STOPPA HYRESCHOCKEN!", "VI JAGAR MEDICIN – NI JAGAR RÖSTER", both CC BY-SA 4.0 Bene Riobó) and one CC0 self-published Moderate candidate poster artwork (Urban Widmark, no logos/text). Free-license coverage of 2026 street posters is otherwise near-zero — re-check Commons in early September in case Wikimedia Sverige runs a Valspecial drive around election day (13 Sept).

The local filenames are descriptive; originals remain recoverable from the official pages above.

## Archive leads

- [Arbetarrörelsens arkiv och bibliotek](https://arbark.se/) holds political and movement poster material, especially historical labour-movement material.
- [DigitaltMuseum](https://digitaltmuseum.se/search/?q=valaffisch) indexes historical valaffischer across Swedish museum collections.
- Kungliga biblioteket's ephemera and campaign-material collections are a preservation lead, not a convenient live 2026 download bank.

## Next retrieval pass

What remains genuinely open after the 2026-08-28 passes:

- **Kristdemokraterna**: no public artwork exists anywhere (site stub, pressroom portraits only). Clean files sit on kdplus.nu (member) or login-walled socials; licensed press (TT via SvD/Aftonbladet/Resumé) has the only clean shots.
- **Sverigedemokraterna**: the four launch-design originals exist only on the party's Facebook/Instagram (login-walled) and in licensed TT/Reuters banks. valbutiken.se is member-gated.
- **Miljöpartiet / Vänsterpartiet**: higher-res artwork behind member portals (Gröna rummet / Resursbank); the public files captured here are the public set.
- **Eskilstuna (M)**: only affisch _5 of the 100×70 series is exposed — probe the other numbers later in the campaign.
- **Centerpartiet Sundbyberg** unveils posters progressively — watch its sitemap.
- **Wikimedia Commons**: re-check early September; if Wikimedia Sverige runs a Valspecial drive, street-poster documentation should land around election day (13 Sept).
- **Enad Röst**: ~60 campaign graphics listable via their public WP media API (`/wp-json/wp/v2/media?search=POST`) if the collection expands beyond posters.
- **Licensed banks** (permissioned leads only): Reuters Connect "Valaffischer inför valet 2026" gallery; TT imagebank sets by Christine Olsson, Johan Nilsson, Amir Nabizadeh, Patrik C Österberg/Stella.
